To summarize, time required for the position of Vice President (TAB Chair) is roughly 58 days per year, which includes travel (a number of these days are over the weekend). It is critical that the VP of Technical Activities attends and participated actively in all these meetings. The position is a major time commitment.

Staff support helps in all the obvious ways that you know of for planning, corporate memory, minutes, day-to-day working with all the S/C’s, etc.., as well as help in getting e-mail out to major groups.
